Runs

The endgame run system in one place: dungeons, the Ashwell, Dread Gates and Elder Runes, with automatic group finding.

Runs are the backbone of LegendaMMO's endgame: repeatable, ever harder adventures that reward experience, Gold Bars, treasure chests and Elder Runes. Elder Runes make you stronger, so you can go deeper on your next run. For each of them you can find companions with the automatic group finder.

The Runs window

Open it with the O key or the sidebar button (the Group Finder button also leads here). Its tabs:

  • Dungeons: the available dungeons with level and party size, and queueing. Below are manually posted group finder listings.
  • Ashwell: your deepest tier, your best result this week, starting at a chosen tier, the weekly leaderboard (top 10), queueing.
  • Dread Gate: your current gate and its modifiers, queueing.
  • Runes: your two runewords with rune power bars, the Rune Codex and rune exchange.

During a run a run bar appears at the top of the screen, below the target panel: for a Dread Gate it shows the tier, the wave, the enemies left, the time, the gate lord and the modifiers; for the Ashwell it shows the tier, the Ash gauge, the time and deaths. At the end, victory or defeat.

Automatic group finder

On the Dungeons, Ashwell and Dread Gate tabs you pick a role and press Join queue. The game builds a party for you.

Roles: tank, damage, healer – in the group finder everyone's role icon is shown next to them. By default the Ironvowed are tanks, the Runecallers are healers and every other class is damage, but you can change it at any time.

How parties are formed:

  • The goal is a 4-player party: 1 tank, 1 healer and 2 damage dealers.
  • If no tank or healer turns up for 2 minutes, any role can fill the slot.
  • If the queue is short after 1 minute of waiting, a party can start with just 2 players.
  • Players at most 30 levels apart are matched.
  • For the Ashwell, tiers can differ by at most ±3; for Dread Gates you need the same key tier (or "any"), and at least one member must hold a Dread Key.

Accepting: when a party is found, the Party formed window shows the members. Everyone has 20 seconds to press Accept or Decline. Anyone who declines or doesn't answer drops out of the queue, and the others go back to the front of the queue.

Once everyone accepts:

  • Dungeon: the party is created and everyone is moved into the dungeon's own instance (Normal difficulty).
  • Dread Gate: the key holder becomes the leader and the others teleport to them; the leader opens the gate (after defeating a monster first).
  • Ashwell: the members join the leader, who starts the run; the party enters the well's own instance.

Requirements: you cannot queue while in a party (leave it first). You cannot queue while dead, inside a dungeon or in the arena, and joining a party while queued removes you from the queue.

How it all fits together

  1. Dungeons and the hunting grounds give your first Dread Keys and runes.
  2. Dread Gates reward more and more with seals, and with 3–4 modifiers they drop runes too.
  3. Deeper tiers of the Ashwell reward runes, Gold Bars and a place on the weekly leaderboard.
  4. Runewords built from Elder Runes make you stronger for the next, harder run.
