Nareth is a dangerous place, and the harder challenges – dungeons, the Ashwell, the Dread Gates or the battlefield – are best faced as a party. You can look for companions yourself with a listing, or let the system put a party together for you.
The party in your interface
- Party frames: your companions' frames show their name, their role icon (tank, healer or damage) and their health.
- Chat: the Party tab of the chat window shows only your party's messages.
- Party members on the map: on the world map (M), switch on the Party members marker in the "Markers" panel. Those on the same map as you appear at their location; those in another region are listed in the panel.
- Experience: experience earned in a party is shared among its members, at every level up to 300.
Automatic group finder (Runs)
In the Runs window you can join a queue with a single click, and the system builds the party for you.
| Step | Details |
|---|---|
| Role | Pick tank, healer or damage – your role icon shows in the group finder (the default matches your class) |
| Queueing | On the Dungeons, Ashwell or Dread Gate tab: "Join queue" / "Leave queue" – the tab shows how many are waiting and the estimated time |
| Composition | 1 tank, 1 healer, 2 damage dealers; after 60 seconds of waiting a group of 2 can form as well |
| Who | Players at most ±30 levels apart |
| Accepting | The "Party formed" window pops up wherever you are: members (name, class, role) and 20 seconds to accept. If anyone declines, the others go back into the queue |
- If you're already in a party, you can't join the runs queue – the queue builds the party itself.
- Dread Gate: the key holder becomes the leader and the others teleport to them; in a party, your companions' kills count too.
- Ashwell: in a party the leader starts the run, and members within 50 metres of them come along.
Details: Runs, Ashwell, Dread Gates, Dungeons.
Manual group listings (Group Finder)
The Group Finder button on the sidebar opens the Dungeons tab of the Runs window. At the bottom are the players' listings:
- the list shows each poster's name, level and message – use Apply to join;
- you can post your own listing with a short description (for example: "Dread Gate IV, need 2 more") and remove it with Delete my listing.
Above it is the dungeon list: level, party size, entry item, and how many more times you can enter today.
Queueing for PvP as a party
- Blood Arena: the party leader queues; the party can be no larger than the arena format (2 for 2v2, 3 for 3v3).
- Ironfield battlefield: you can queue with a party of up to 5, again through the leader.
Details: PvP – Player versus Player.
